We the Registered Medical and Dental Practitioners of The Gambia in recognition of the need for an Organization aimed at safeguarding the noble ideals of our Profession in maintaining the professional standards in our practice and promoting the welfare and privileges of the Medical and Dental Practitioners in the country, have on the 6^th Day of August 1980 unanimously RESOLVED to form an Association.

Membership
Membership shall be open to all registered Medical and Dental Practitioners in The Gambia. The organs of the association are:

• The General Body
• The Executive Committee
• The Finance and General Purpose Committee
• An Educational and Research Committee
• Ad-hoc committee
